Each month the House of Praise for All People has a weekend dedicated to setting the captives free. During this weekend, we have SOZO ministry for deliverance, healing and salvation, as well as healing rooms where there is prayer for the sick. Coupled with these two excellent ministries, we are adding live worship starting after the Friday night meeting for two hours and continuous worship and music on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
The worship emphasis will be proclaiming God's freedom to the captive and proclaiming God's healing and deliverance.
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners."
Worship Leaders/singers/ instrumentalists: This is an excellent opportunity to worship our God and proclaim His freedom through worship to those needing healing. Each set will have a singer and instrumentalist (can be the same person).
"And when the evil spirit ...was upon Saul, David took a lyre and played it; so Saul was refreshed and became well, and the evil spirit left him."
1 Samuel 16:23 (Amplified Bible)
There is healing power through worship and music. We found this account of healing and deliverance when David played his instrument before Saul.
We expect God to move upon his people in worship through healing and deliverance with continuous worship and music throughout this worship time. Our worshipers will be attentive to have an "Audience of One" and be worshiping God and lead you into his presence. This is a great time to soak in the presence of God before and after prayer for healing both in the SOZO ministry as well as the healing rooms.
Again, this emphasis is on proclaiming freedom to the prisoners and declaring that
Freedom Reigns!! on the Delmarva peninsula.
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Luke 4:18-19 (NIV 2011)
